I wanted to keep this simple so it would be easy for beginner designers.

Appreciating the commitment you put into your blog and detailed information you offer. It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same out of date rehashed information. Great read! I’ve saved your site and I’m including your RSS feeds to my Google account.

Thank for dropping some comments, appreciate it.
I should put more time into the blog section of my site for sure so I’ll try to do that further on.

      Best Wishes.

Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Daniel,
Wow, an excellent, informative tutorial with original content, Thank You!

btw …I see that a good proportion of your comments are (unfortunately) from spammers from websites selling stuff. You will get to know their “messages” over time, they use similar ones over and over again. A tip for you: to avoid these generating even more spam messages, delete these right away. 🙂

Ma I ask a question please? You show your sketch, but not how you arrived at it.
Do you do a heap of sketches from different angles, different sizes (i.e. half in and half out of the shield?), colour, shades, techniques to play with the idea of texture (little dots, cross hatching, small parallel lines etc)???

Or do you always keep to back and white, make use of negative space, and is your first sketch idea always more or less your final one?

Do illustrators all use digital programs to complete their graphics that you know of, or do some still complete everything entirely on paper???

It’s great to see how you went from the sketch to the end result, Thank You for an excellent tutorial !

An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
